[Intro – Choir / military pulse / Clean low] Drums in the distance Smoke in the gold I heard the heavens Order the fall
[Verse 1 – Clean] The organ roared through iron skies As burning banners rose on high Cathedrals split from spine to gate Like prophecy had come too late
The violins were blades in flight Low cellos dragged the blood-red night French horns rolled out like kingdoms torn And every bell announced the storm
[Pre-Chorus – Clean building] No peace remaining No hand to spare No final mercy Hanging in air
[Pre-Chorus – Growl layer] Only the march Only the scar Only the hour When angels go to war
[Chorus – Clean + Growl Layer] When angels go to war The sky forgets what heaven was for When angels go to war The stars fall down like opened swords Raise the drums Raise the flame Let creation tremble at the name When angels go to war There is no light There is only rise
[Post-Chorus – Growl] [Growl] War Angels go to war
[Verse 2 – Clean] The grand piano struck like steel Across a world too split to heal Brass in the smoke, drums in the bone Turning the ruins into throne
My wings were black, immense, and wide A storm of ash with gold inside No fear remained, no prayer survived Only the will to stay alive
[Pre-Chorus – Clean] I saw the towers Kneel in red I heard the choirs Name the dead
[Pre-Chorus – Growl layer] No saint can stop this No god restores The end begins When angels go to war
[Chorus – Clean + Growl Layer] When angels go to war The sky forgets what heaven was for When angels go to war The stars fall down like opened swords Raise the drums Raise the flame Let creation tremble at the name When angels go to war There is no light There is only rise
[Bridge – Clean / Choir / Growl] [Clean] Grand piano under a dying moon Strings climbing higher toward the wound Tubular bells through sulfur air Like judgment finding everywhere
[Choir] To war To war
[Growl] Break the halo Flood the gate Drag the myth Through iron fate Crack the marble Torch the spire Feed the sky To holy fire
[Breakdown – Growl] Snare like thunder March the bone War drums calling Take the throne Cimbassi tearing Night apart Put the furnace In the heart No surrender No remorse Only wrath in final course This is not the fall of angels This is angels becoming force
[Orchestral Lift – Clean] Hear the low strings race beneath me Hear the brass ignite the dome Hear the choir make terror royal Hear the lost become their own
[Final Chorus – Clean + Huge Growl Layer + Choir] When angels go to war The sky forgets what heaven was for When angels go to war The stars fall down like opened swords Raise the drums Raise the flame Let creation tremble at the name When angels go to war There is no light There is only rise
[Final Lift – Clean / Choir] When angels go to war Every wound becomes a banner torn When angels go to war Every silence births a sharper storm When angels go to war Even the dark learns fear When angels go to war I do not fall I appear
[Outro – Clean low / final] Drums in the distance Smoke in the gold I heard the heavens Order the fall
Short Story
*A story about justice that doesn't apologize for its fire*
For years, the factory on the edge of town had been letting waste run into the river that the village relied on, and for years, people complained quietly, individually, and nothing changed.
It was Dona Graça, the gentlest woman in the village, the one who had never raised her voice at anyone in living memory, who finally stood up at the town meeting and said, loudly enough that the back rows fell silent: "We have been polite about this for six years. Politeness has caught no one's attention. I think it's time we stopped being calm about something that was never supposed to be calmly tolerated."
"You're always the peaceful one," someone said, startled.
"I am peaceful about most things," she said. "I am not peaceful about my grandchildren drinking water that makes them sick. There is a difference between gentleness and silence, and I have confused the two for far too long."
She organized what the polite complaints never had — a unified, public, unmissable demand, dozens of families standing together outside the factory gates, refusing to be quietly managed any longer. It was not gentle. It was not meant to be.
"Doesn't this feel like betraying who you are?" her husband asked her quietly, that first morning, watching her prepare with a fire he'd never seen in her before.
"No," she said. "I think this is closer to who I actually am than all those years of polite complaining ever were. Gentleness was never supposed to mean letting harm continue unchallenged. I was just frightened of my own anger, and called the fear 'being nice' instead."
The factory cleaned its discharge within the month, not from the politeness, but from the fire — the unmistakable, unapologetic fire of people who had decided that something righteous didn't need to apologize for finally getting loud.
---
*Real gentleness is not the same as endless tolerance of harm. Sometimes the most loving thing a quiet person can do is finally let their righteous fire be seen — without apology, exactly when it's needed most.*
